There are a number of reasons you might want to get rid of your existing creative agency. These might include:
Often the most important decision for your business is where do you go next for creative services. Finding a new agency is all about finding an agency with the right people who can truly understand your business and move it forward with the investment you make in them. So ask around, look for agencies that are producing creative work that you admire and you think might be a good fit for your business.
When we start working with a new client, we almost always ask for the same thing - a copy of your logo in EPS format. Having this gives us full flexibility to use your logo in print (to any size) and web. Before you sack your agency, make sure you get a copy (especially if they were the ones who designed it)! Also obtain any other original artwork files which might be useful going forward.
Your agency may require a notice period depending on the terms and conditions you agreed to. If this is the case, you may need to provide this level of notice but it is often advisable to make sure you tell them you're moving on at the right time for your business. There's nothing more demotivating than working on a client who has decided to go elsewhere - so make sure there is not too much in the pipeline for the agency to finish off before you can part company.
Appoint your new agency to start producing your new creative work possibly before the old one has finished. You need to allow time for your new agency to bed in and get used to the way you work. It is a new relationship, so there is usually a period of adjustment while everybody finds their way a little. By anticipating this and investing the extra time at the start to get off on a strong footing you give your new relationship the very best chance of success.
If you're looking for a new creative agency, give us a call - we could be just what you're looking for.
